ESCHATON - ANSELM KIEFER FOUNDATION
Over the past three decades, Anselm Kiefer has transformed La Ribaute - a 40-hectare site in the south of France, in Barjac, near Nîmes - into a unique immersive artistic environment, creating numerous art installations there, often at the monumental scale. It is now possible to participate in a guided tour of La Ribaute, which allows visitors to discover a selection of works by Anselm Kiefer, as well as works by five other artists.

the site is open seasonally, from mid-April to the end of October, with a summer break (in 2023, this will take place from August 6 to September 6 inclusive)
guided tours are organized on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, and are offered in French, English and German for a maximum of 16 visitors.
Markets and flea markets
To discover the culinary specialties of the region, we advise you to go to the Barjac market which is held every Friday morning in the center of the village. In July and August, you will enjoy strolling through the night market and the "organic market and small local producers". Twice a year, don't miss the great flea market in Barjac.
